Jim's Dairy Bar was first opened by Jim Neuenfeldt (son of Wm.) 19 Jan 1950.  The building was owned by William F. Neuenfeldt was first operated by his son, James Neuenfeldt followed by Raymond "Bud" Ackerman (Bud's Dairy Bar), Mr. & Mrs. Russell Edwards (Edward's Dairy Bar), and Gerald Neuenfeldt (Jerry's Dairy Bar was run by another of Wm. Neuenfeldt's sons). 

The Dairy Bar was preceded by George Papich's Coast to Coast, Rug Buker's Coast to Coast and Volk Bros. Tailor Shop (photo).

The brick building pictured here was erected jointly in 1891 by Hercules Lodge, No. 181 I.O.O.F. (Independent Order of Odd Fellows), and Mr. Authur M. White, the former building the upper and the latter the lower story, which is a hardware store. April 23, 1894, Mr. John Bryden bought an interest in the store, but in 1896 sold his interest to Mr. White.
