Ackerman, Raymond A. #2 (8 MAR 1924 - 14 DEC 1966)


Raymond A. (Bud) Ackerman was born March 8, 1924 at Neillsville (Clark Co.), Wis. and passed away suddenly of a heart attack at 7:00 p.m. on Dec. 14, 1966 at Flint, Mich.


He lived at Neillsville until he finished grade school, then moved to Greenwood where he graduated from high school in 1942.


After graduation he was employed as truck driver for the John Wuethrich Creamery Co.  On Jan. 18, 1943 he left for services and spent two years in the European theatre of operation with the 391st Anti-Aircraft Battalion and received his discharge Jan. 3, 1946.  After his discharge he was again employed by the John Wuethrich Co. until 1951 when he moved to Flint, Mich. and worked as truck driver for Automobile Carriers Inc., for the past 15 years.


He is survived by his wife, the former Bessie Darnell, two sons, Dennis Ackerman and Gary Ackerman; one daughter, Mrs. Dennis (Janice) Musgraves, all of Flint, Mich.; his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Jolivette, Greenwood, Wis.; two step-brothers, Dale Jolivette, Greenwood, and Norbert Jolivette, Jewell, Iowa; one step-sister, Mrs. Donald (Elaine) Schwan, Loyal, Wis.


Funeral services were held from Colonial Chapel, Reigle Funeral Home, Dec. 17, 1966 at 1:00 p.m.


Rev. O. W. Polen officiated.  Interment was in Grace Lawn Cemetery, Flint, Mich.


Pallbearers were six of the drivers for Automobile Carriers Inc., and other drivers attended in a body.
