Three brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.

1Immigrated to America with his parents as a young child, settling east of Stetsonville. Former village president, county supervisor, and village trustee; operated a barber shop in Dorchester from 1916 to 1938; inspector of bees in Wisconsin and Louisiana. According to his obituary, he was instrumental in procuring public water and sewer facilities for Dorchester, paving County Trunk A from Dorchester to Highway 13, and largely responsible for planting of trees along that road.

2Graduated from high school in 1933 with Max Kronschnabl. Died from cancer.

1Came to America in 1884 with parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Werner and settled on a farm west of Dorchester.

2Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Malchow; had farm one mile north of Dorchester.

After their marriage, Fred and Emma moved to a farm in the Town of Little Black. Then they moved to a farm in the Town of Mayville. Mr. Werner became associated with the cattle-buying business with Henry Mertens, a partnership that lasted 20 years. He continued in the cattle-buying business another 20 years before retiring. Moved to town in 1947.

2John Schwartz was born June 15, 1880, in Austria and came to Dorchester area with his parents at age 3 (1883-84) settling on a farm near Stetsonville. After marriage, the couple lived on a farm 3 miles north and 4 miles west of Dorchester for 8 years (1907-15), then moved to a neighboring farm. Moved to Colby in 1942.

Anton came to Dorchester area as a small boy with his parents. In 1911 moved to farm in Town of Mayville. Anton and Rosa retired about 1954 and moved to Colby. In 1959 Loretta and Gilbert Fritsche were on the farm.
