VGR: L. A. Allen, of Neillsville, had charge of the veteran's graves registration when that work was a project, and followed up the work himself, after the government called off the project before its completion, as has been done with many another good projects. Among many others, Mr. Allen searched vigilantly for data on Capt. Joseph H. Finley, of the war of 1812.  News: Humbird - Locals (29 Jan. 1938)
