THE CRIMSON AND WHITE

G. A. A.

The Girls' Athletic Association of the Neillsville High School after the departure of Miss Feile, died a natural death. Because of the courageous measures taken by Miss Lound it was revived to life again with more vigor and vitality than it has known in many a day.

The initiation ceremony of 1935 disclosed the wide-awake interest the members took in our organization. The stunts and games played in the evening, according to those who were there, were funny and fun. Don't you wish you had been on of those privileged to attend? And that hot chili! ! !

Next year we're going out for a bigger and better G. A. A. Are you with us?

The Neillsville Forestry Club

Although this organization is truly a 4-H club, it has been collaboration with the high school in the planting of the school forest for the past four years. Since it is a 4-H club, its membership is not limited to students in high school. This year the club has and is intending to carry out a very successful program. One of our greatest accomplishments of the year was the radio broadcast over the state owned station April 23rd.

As usual the club planted 1,500 coniferous trees in the school forest this spring. The total number of trees in the school forest is now about 4, 500.

In addition the club plans to take part in the most of the county 4-H activities this year ----something which it has never done before.

The main purpose of organization is to educate youth along the lines of Conservation of our wild life and the proper methods of conducting conservation.

The officers of the club this year are as follows:

President

Harold Imig

Vice-President

Donald Vine

Secretary and Treasurer

Robert Gerhardt

Reporter
