Horace V. Wright was born Aug. 10, 1837 in Jackson, Washington County, NY. His parents were Arthur and Ester Wright, both born in New York. During the Civil War, Horace Wright was at first a Private and then promoted to a Captain in the 25th Regiment, NY Battery, Company unkown.

Horace married Emma. He lived in Footville, Rock County, WI. in 1885.

Mr. Wright died in the Township of Dewhurst, Clark County, WI, on December 17, 1902. He was buried in Center, Rock County, WI.
