Alfred Fields

Enlisted in Co.A, 33rd Regiment, WI Volunteers(Washburn-Now Arthur)Grant, Wisconsin as a Private on 21st August,1862 one week following the enlistment of his brother Bird and under the same Capt.Moore. He was hospitalized the last week of December, 1862, in Memphis, Tenn. He was then moved to a hospital at Jefferson Barracks and remained there until April, 1863.He was then given a medical discharge due to Chronic Hepatitis, Nephritis and Debility. D.O.D.: 28 March, 1896 at Neilsville, WI. Burial: Town of Levis Cemetery, Neilsville,WI

 

Bird Fields

Enlisted at Washburn-(Now Arthur) Lima Twnp.,Grant County,WI on 14 August,1862.Private Co. A-33rd Regiment, WI Volunteers. Discharged at Vicksburg, Mississippi 9 August, 1865. Listed as a teamster. Was made Division Teamster 10 December, 1864. Served as Div. Teamster till the end of the war. Served at Vicksburg, Mississippi and New Orleans, LA. Date of Death: 3 August,1904 Neilsville,WI Buried: Town of Levis Cemetery, Neilsville,WI
