This is to Certify, That records in the state archives show that

 

Frank Riplinger

 

 

Late a Private in Company E of the 14th Regiment of Wisconsin Infantry Volunteers was enlisted into military service on the 5th day of March 1864, by Lieutenant Baker at Madison, Wisconsin, for the term of three years, and was mustered into the military service of the United States on the 11th day of March 1864, at Madison, Wisconsin.


Frank Riplinger was born in Prussia. His place of residence was Manitowoc, Manitowoc County, Wisconsin. His enlistment was credited to Carlton, Kewaunee County, Wisconsin.


Frank Riplinger was mustered out of the service with his company on the 9th day of October, 1865, at Mobile, Alabama.


The records further show that said soldier when enlisted was 19 years of age, single and had hazel eyes, brown hair, light complexion, was 5 feet 4 inches in height, and by occupation a shoemaker.
 

 

 

 

In Testimony Where of, I have hereunto set my hand in the city of Madison, this 16th day of June in the year of our Lord, one thousand nine hundred eighty-seven.
