NHS Class of 1955 holds reunion

The Neillsville High School Class of 1955, the first graduating class of the new Neillsville High School building, held its 55^th class reunion Aug. 21, 2010, at Fannie’s Supper Club.

A memorial service was given by Char Drescher and Dorothy Anderegg with a prayer, naming the deceased and lighting of a candle.

Those deceased are: Harlan Crume, Ronnie Davis, DuWayne Dux, Janice Grottke Ehlers, Robert Gutenberger, Doris Holtz Fredrickson, Barbara Miller Oldham, Bobbie Russell Herbert, Harland Timerson, Laura Zlezak (Zlesak) Shoemaker, James Buettner, Donald Thompson, Richard Reber, Linda Johnson Schroeder, Walter Schmidt, Walter Hahn, Ronald Henning, Bill Kazlauski (Kozlowski), Charles Matousek, Gary Mills, and Marvin Aumann. 

Also deceased faculty members: Supt. D. E. Peters, Principal Ivan Lauscher, Harriet Hoesly, Lorraine Bement, Daphne Beeckler, John Perkins, Scott Hunsberger, Alfred Hovey, Earl Ruedy and Marie Covell.

Twenty-seven members attended the dinner along with spouses, Jerry Ehlers, class president, conducted a short meeting.
