Volunteers lend a helping hand to Highground

A large number of volunteers took to The Highground for the annual Spring Work Weekend, held Wednesday, April 22, through Saturday, April 25.  Volunteer workers helped prepare The Highground for spring, summer and fall events by lending a hand for the four-day work weekend.

April 23, during the annual Spring Work Weekend, held Wednesday, April 22, through Saturday, April 25.  Over 50 people helped out Thursday.

 

A total of 35 volunteers helped Wednesday, 52 Thursday, 70 Friday and 26 Saturday, said Nancy Rodman of The Highground.

 

Several volunteers traveled to The Highground from another sate and many came from all over the county.  Four Neillsville High School students also volunteered and worked hard, said Rodman.

 

Many area businesses and restaurants donated food and ice for the work weekend.

 

Those businesses and restaurants include: Heartland Coop, Pizza Hut, Hardee?s, Subway, Doc?s Diner, Donna?s Cozy Kitchen, Olympic Restaurant, IGA Food Center, Marty?s Foods, Neillsville and Greenwood Kwik Trip Stores, BP/Amoco, Mary?s Mobil and the Holiday Station.
