The Highground to hold Car Show, Chili Cook-Off

 A Car Show and Chili Cook-Off will both be held Saturday, Oct. 3, at The Highground.

The fifth annual Car Show will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. rain or shine.  Participants will make an $8 donation to The Highground; dash plaques will be given to the first 100 entries.

The Chili Cook-Off will begin at 10:30 a.m.  Those participating will bring an 18-quart roaster filled with their best chili, which will be judged and then sold by the bowl to those attending.

A panel of judges will award prizes to the top three entries at noon; the top three popular vote entries will also be awarded.  A Best Presentation prize will be given.

Those attending the Chili Cook-Off can pay $5 to taste the chili and receive one voting ticket.

To enter the Chili Cook-Off, register in advance by calling The Highground at 715-743-4224.

Those attending The Highground Saturday can enjoy viewing cars and a bowl of Chili.
