Highground Tour riders receive a colorful welcome to Neillsville

The riders participating in the 22nd annual Highground bike tour were greeted to the Veterans Memorial Park on Sunday with a welcome that included the ringing of the ?Liberty Bell? and a salute from the Neillsville Color Guard.

Lila Oelhafen was among the 175 total riders pedaling along routes that started from around the state.  At 75, she was the oldest rider participating in The Highgrounds? biggest fundraising event of the year.  Joining up with a group on the Northern route that started in Hayward, Oelhafen, along with others from Neillsville, received a warm round of applause from people who had come to The Highground to recognize the efforts of all the riders.
