Prayer Stone placed at Highground's Meditation Garden

Tom Bitney (right) and son Nate, of Stone Services in Chippewa Falls, placed the new Prayer Stone in the Mediation Garden at The Highground Veterans Memorial Park last Thursday.  Measuring 4-1/2 feet in diameter and weighing 1,700 pounds, the stone has the inscriptions ?Pray?, ?Kneel? and ?Heal? around its circumference.  Some consideration is being given to placing a permanent bronze rose atop the stone sometime in the future.  The prayer stone was made possible by a donation from Dr. John and Sandy Scaletta, of Neillsville.  Ruzic Construction donated the use of a hoist and operator to move the stone from the truck bed and into place on its concrete base.
