5 vie for Miss Neillsville 2007 crown

Neillsville, Pine Valley Twp., Clark Co., WI

 

 

The Miss Neillsville Pageant will again take place during the Neillsville heritage Day’s which will run this year from Thursday ,  July 19th,through Sunday, July 22nd. The Queen Coronation, with Heather Mabie as Pageant Coordinator, will be held Friday, July 20th,at 9 p.m. in the Neillsville High School auditorium.

 

 

Mary Glaza

 

Mary, age 17, is sponsored by American Legion Post 73. Her school activities include forensics, Fine Arts Club, math leagues, and poetry competitions. She works at the IGA and raises puppies for Leader Dogs for the Blind. She enjoys crafts, dog obedience training, photography, reading, traveling swimming, singing and spending time with family. Her future plans are to attend UW-Eau Claire to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Nursing .Mary is the daughter of Robert and Teresa Glaza.

 

            

Nicole Schmidt

 

Nicole, age 17, is sponsored by Gross Motors.

She is a member of her school concert choir and church youth choir. She likes to sing, dance, do outdoor activities, and spend time with friends. Beyond high school she plans

To attend CVTC for Barbering/Cosmetology. Nicole is the daughter of Paul and Sandy Schmidt.

 

Katie Mills

 

Katie, age 16, is sponsored by the optimist Club. Her school activities include Student Council, forensics, solo ensemble, and next year’s senior class president. She works as a secretary for Full Circle Companies of New Jersey. She volunteers   as a junior hunter education instructor, at the Clark County Humane Society, at various benefit steak feeds, Optimist Club and Clark County Law Enforcement functions, brat sales and fundraisers. She is a Mass server at church and brings her registered therapy dog for visits

To the nursing home. She is also her 4H club president and past treasurer and secretary. Katie likes to spend time with family and friends and train her dog in agility for which they have been competing for several years. In the summer she enjoys the beach, golfing, running, reading, and relaxing. She plans on attending either the University of Minnesota or Milwaukee School of Engineering to Major in Biomedical or structural Engineering as

Well as Architecture. Katie is the daughter of James and Mary Kay Mills.

 

Michelle Mitte

 

Michelle, age 17, is sponsored by NHS Student Council. Her school activities include Student Council, class treasurer, band, flag team, Little Buddy program, softball captain, State forensics, and solo ensemble. She has been a 4-h member since 4th grade, plays in a hand bell choir, and has worked at the IGA since 8th grade. She enjoys spending time writing poetry and short stories, photography and playing tennis. After high school she plans to attend UW-Green Bay to pursue majors in photo journalism and writing.

Michelle is the daughter of  Mike and Carol Mitte.

 

 Liz Elmhorst

 

Liz, age 17, is sponsored by Fringe Benefits and the Brickyard. She keeps busy with school and working at both the Brickyard and Fringe Benefits. Work takes most of her extra time, but she also enjoys scrapbooking and spending time with friends and family. Her future plans are to attend UW-River Falls to pursue a degree in Nutrition. Liz is the daughter of Paul Sr. and Shirley Elmhorst.
