Mrs. Jacob Baumgartner and Jacob Trachsel, both whom have gone to their eternal reward, each served as a most capable Sunday School Superintendent got ten years.

Mrs. Fred Theiler and the late Mrs. Jacob Baumgartner each held the office of President of the Ladies Aid for over 15 years.

John Bryner, Sr., deceased, served as elder for a period of twenty-nine years.

John Greub, Sr., deceased, was a faithful treasurer and janitor well over thirty years.

George Mueller held the position of elder for twenty-eight years.

Mrs. Edwin Bleiler was a faithful Sunday School teacher for 15 consecutive years.

Adolph Rosolack served as deacon for a period of consecutive seventeen years.

The longest-lived choir was the men’s choir, the members of whole were Jacob Kneubuehl, Jacob Trachsel, John Bryner, Sr., Robert Rieder and Jacob Preisig. Mr. Preisig is the only living member of this group, besides their leader, Mrs. Creviston.

Rev. Favid Grether, deceased, and rev. Victor D. Weidler, held the longest pastorate in the history of St. John church, each serving ten years.
