Jordan Berg has been selected to serve on the National FFA Organization USA reporter team, as announced by the Granton-area School District June 25. The position has a one-year term, from 2024–25.

“My Ag teacher, [Kathryn] Reider sent the position to me,” Berg said, “thinking I would be interested because of my supervised agricultural experience (SAE) in Agricultural Communications. I had to apply.”

To be selected for the role, Berg had to submit her social media handles and an essay explaining why she wanted to be an FFA member in the USA reporter team and her future plans after high school.

“My duties for this position will be to reach out to FFA chapters across the state to write stories about interesting things they are doing each month,” Berg said. “The stories will be published on the FFA website and parts will be in the FFA New Horizons magazines on the FFA in the USA page.

“The challenging part of this role will be creating the stories to make sure I am able to capture the amazing things that FFA chapters and members are doing across Wisconsin.

“I am really excited to make connections with more people across the state to learn about the awesome things they do for agriculture and their communities.

“My biggest supporters are my ag teacher, [Reider,] my family, especially my mom and dad, Jen and Joe Berg, and my best friends, Abby and Anna.”

Berg commented she is “extremely excited” for this opportunity and cannot wait to share stories about “amazing Wisconsin FFA members” with people across the nation.

“I am honored to have this opportunity and cannot wait to make connections with new people,” Berg said.
