The "Echoes" got under way right after school began last fall.  Mr. Hinkle was our adviser again this year.  Our staff for the year was composed of the following members: Eileen Behrens, Editor; Lila Kalkofen, Lorraine Schwarze, Marguerite Wells, Ann Koschak, Edward Bayuk, Janet Opdycke, Phyllis Swenson, Ruth Vamstad, and Garth Haeuser.  The remainder of the staff was made up by these students: Viola Thompson, Assistant Editor; Henry Dill, Grant Sloniker, Melvin Alperstett, Clayton Braun, Esther Hegenbarth, Alice Goeke, Dede Ferman, Erna Vangsness, Verdelle Turnquist, Shirley Gaylord, and Maxine Sloniker.

The success of "Echoes" was due to the wonderful cooperation and willingness to help on the part of the staff members.  They took their assignments seriously and handed in good pieces of work.  The townspeople who advertised in "Echoes", were also responsible for the success of our paper.

The biggest accomplishment for the entire year was the new feature of having the paper printed locally instead of dittoing it for each issue.  This improved the paper considerably and increased its popularity ten-fold.

May the "Echoes" have even great success next year and the years to come!
