All aboard! By way of the S. O. P. H. Railroad you may join us in reviewing the important happening of our school daze.

At our first stop, we see forty-nine Freshmen-some timid and some bold-enrolling in the G.H.S.

During the year six students withdrew and one student was added to the enrollment. Miss Bienfang is our Freshman Class Adviser. After becoming acquainted, the Frosh elected their class officers. President—Alice Goeke, Vice-President—William Englebretson, Secretary—Ruth Johnson. and Treasurer—Donald Lenz.

At the second stop our interest is centered on the Dionne Quintuplets. It is the stunt the Frosh are putting on at the carnival—very clever, don’t you think?

As the train stops again, we see forty-two Sophomores joyfully greeting each other after a successful Freshman year. During the year two Sophomores withdrew and two were added to the enrollment. Mr. Schwahn is the Sophomore Class adviser. They have elected La Vern Durst as President, Lillian Kindt as Vice-President, Esther Hegenbarth as Secretary, and Elmer Schwarze as Treasurer, Alice Goeke as Echoes staff representative. La Vern Durst is the class representative on the Student Council. Seven Sophomores play in the band, and eight Sophomores are taking purl. in Forensics.

In spite of some difficulties, the journey has been pleasant Lets hope it continues to be so during our remaining school years.
