This business was started in 1949 by Norbert Laabs with the present owners,
Clifford Wetterau and Jerome Reynolds, buying it in 1953. Handling 38 million
pounds of milk, they produce approximately 4 million pounds of cheese annually.
The by-products whey and cream are also sold. The whey is used in cattle feed
and the cream for producing butter.
