Guy
Smith was a son of Clarendon and Emma (nee Ferris)
Smith, early pioneers of York
Township.
The Federal 1880 Census for Clark County’s York Township lists a Guy
Smith as the 3-year-old son of C. L. and Emma Smith.
He married the former Belle Benedict, who was the daughter of
Sanford and
Margaret (nee Lawrence) Benedict, both of whom were descendants of York Township
pioneers.
One of Guy and Belle Smith’s sons, Robert is buried in York Center
