Wegner, Wayne(15 January 1948 – 14 March 2023)

Wayne Wegner, 75 of Neillsville, died Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at home.

Wayne was born January 15, 1948, in Eau Claire, the son of Clarence and Alice Wegner. He was united in marriage to Kathy Wegner on September 10, 1966. Wayne and Kathy were married 56 years.

Wayne farmed for most of his years on the family farm. He was the town chairman for the Town of Seif for almost 22 years. He also was a seed dealer.

Wayne enjoyed going up north and fishing with his family and spending time with his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Wegner of Neillsville; a son Bryan (Kathy) Wegner of Neillsville and a daughter, Carrie Ann (Chris) Manos of Green Bay; and five grandchildren Brianna (Wilson) White, Allison (Aspen) Wegner, Brady Wegner, Chase and Carter Manos; two step grandchildren, Aleisha Mueller and Kasey (Chris) Rueth.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Alice Wegner, a son Bradley, his father-in-law and mother-in-law Everett and Angie Dux.

A celebration of life will be held 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 18th at Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville.
