COLBY - Six players from Greenwood Huigh;s twice-beaten Indians have been named to the 1983 all-Cloverbelt Conference ((small school division) football team picked by the coaches. The only team with more first team selections was Fall Creek, which went undefeated during the regular season before losing to eventual Division 5 runner-up Osseo-Fairchild.

Greenwood players named to the all-league team include linemen Mark Abel and Todd Mosely and running back Perry Braun on the offensive unit, and lineman Jay Graski and Dean Hinker and back Kevin Lucas on the defensive team.

Thorp placed lineman Joel Stuttgen and back Tim Wnek on the offensive team and lineman Paul Ebben and back Joel Anderson on the defensive team.Owen-Withee's lone representative is a linebacker David Zukowski on the defensive unit.

Neillsville challenged the Indians for all-conference laurels by landing six players on the two units, including lineman Pat Murphy on the defensive team, one of two sophomores selected. The other was Colby's running back Keith Rahm.

Neillsville players named to the first offensive team were lineman Pat Jurcek, end Gary Gutenberger, and Rahm. Selected on the defensive team were Murphy, back Neil Reil and punter Joe Beathea.

In addition to Rahm, Colby is represented on the all-conference team by linebacker Wayne Hendrickson and back John Gunderson.
