Kalepp, Minnie (19 Dec 1883 – 13 May 1976)

Funeral services were held Monday, May 17, 1976 for Mrs. Minnie Kalepp, age 92, at Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford.

The Rev. Kenneth Loehrke officiated at the 1:30 p.m. rites. Burial was held in the Dorchester Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Don Kieser, Arvin Gosse, Arvin Kramer, Jim Nikolay, Clarence Carpenter and David Hawks.

Mrs. Kalepp died at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield on Thursday, May 13, 1976.

The former Minnie Sauter was born December 19, 1883 in St. Paul, Minnesota.

She married Adolph Kalepp October 12, 1902 at Dorchester. He passed away December 25, 1955.

After their marriage the couple farmed in the Town of Holton until 1932, when they moved to Abbotsford and operated a tavern until 1952. Since her husband’s death she has resided with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Kattre, Abbotsford.

Mrs. Kalepp was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.

She is survived by three sons, Harold and William both of Abbotsford, Clarence, Dorchester; one daughter, Mrs. Gilbert (Alice) Kattre, Abbotsford; 17 grandchildren, and 34 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Tillie Weideman, Dorchester, and Mrs. Fred (Alma) Diedrich, Phillips.

Two sons, two daughters, seven brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
