Kelly, Cheryl S. (28 September 1948 – 6 March 2023)

Cheryl S. Kelly, age 74, of Chili, passed away on March 6, 2023, surrounded by her family at the Marshfield Medical Center after a long, courageous battle with Parkinson's disease.

Cheryl was born on September 28, 1948, the daughter of Irene Brainard. She graduated from Waukon High School in 1966. She then graduated from Cosmetology school in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

On May 21, 1967, Cheryl was united in marriage to the love of her life, Richard "Dic" Kelly in Monona, Iowa. After graduating Cosmetology school, she worked in beauty salons in Iowa. After moving to Minnesota in 1976, she operated her own salon. In 1984, she and her family moved to Marshfield, where she owned and operated Classic Cuts and Nails until she retired in 2010.

In her spare time, she enjoyed doing crafts of all kinds, casino trips and cooking. Her passion for flowers was clear the moment you pulled in the driveway and saw the beauty that she created with her numerous flower beds. What she loved more than anything was her family. She put family before all else, even herself. Her favorite days were those spent with those she loved. Especially when those days involved spending time with her great-grandsons, Ezra and Liam.

Cheryl is lovingly survived by her husband, Dic; children, Terry of Marshfield, and Tessa (Gene Gotter) of Riplinger. She will truly be missed. Cheryl is preceded in death by her mother, Irene Brainard, and her aunt, Alice Brainard.

Visitation will be held at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home (1010 E. Veterans Pkwy.) in Marshfield from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 16th.
