Haberkorn, Beth (30 April 1983)

Beth Haberkorn and Stephen Sternitzky were united in marriage on Saturday evening, April 30, in services at Christ Presbyterian Church, Edina, Minnesota. The Rev. Dr. Roger Anderson officiated. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. Haberkorn of Edina and Mr. and Mrs. Duane Sternitzky, 409 East Division St., Neillsville.

Serving as maid of honor was Leslie Haberkorn, the bride’s sister of St. Paul. She was joined by Jill Sternitzky, the groom’s sister of Neillsville; and Vicky Selden, a friend from San Francisco.

Howard Corey, a friend of the groom from Stewartville, Minnesota, was bestman. He was joined by a friend Dick Alpert of Milwaukee and the bride’s bother Rob Haberkorn, Minneapolis. Ushering were the bride’s brother Jim Haberkorn and friend Bernard Marks, both of Minneapolis.

The bride chose a gown with long train and high lace collar. She wore a veiled hat and carried a bouquet of light lavender iris, white tulips, freesia and baby’s breath. Her attendants wore lavender gowns and carried bouquets of iris with pink spring flowers. The groom and his attendants were attired in black tuxedos.

Following the wedding, a reception and dance was held at the American Association of University Woman Hall. The couple then left on a wedding trip to the north shore of Minnesota.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Sternitzky are presently making their home in Minneapolis but will be moving to Forest Grove, Oregon, where he will be attending Pacific University’s School of Optometry. She has a degree in medical technology from the University of Minnesota and is presently employed as a medical technologist for Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis. He has a degree in biology from UW-Madison and is presently employed by Sheraton Park Place in Minneapolis.
