Durham, Reita Ann (14 May 1 with an ivory1983)

Reita Ann Durham and James Patrick Gelander were united in marriage on Saturday afternoon, May 14, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Neillsville. Parents of the couple are Keith and Beth Durham, Rt. 4 Neillsville, and Robert and Dorothy Gelander, Rt. 1, Willard.

Special music at the service was offered by Mr. and Mrs. Paul Tess, Richard Durham and Kerry Durham.

Serving as matron of honor was Barbara Opelt, who was joined by Becky Opelt, both of Neillsville. Bestman was Kasimir Kolano, who was joined by Kent Durham, both of Neillsville. Ushering were Kendall Durham and Chris Jones.

The bride wore a dress of ice blue satin with an ivory lace overlay and featuring a sweetheart neckline and lace sleeves. She carried a lace parasol decorated with pale blue and pink roses. Her matron of honor wore a blue-flowered print dress with ivory lace trim, the bridesmaid wore a rose-flowered dress, also with ivory lace trim.

Following the service, a reception was held at the bride’s home, which was followed by a dance at the Silver Dome Ballroom.

The bride is a 1980 graduate of Neillsville High School. Her husband is a part-time farmer and employee at M&E Development of Neillsville. The new Mr. and Mrs. Gelander will make their home in Willard.
