Mashin, Ed (27 November 1909 - 07 November 1983)
HUMBIRD -- Services will be Friday at the Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, for
Ed Mashin, 73, Humbird, who died Monday evening at Tomah Memorial Hospital.
The Rev. Gary L. Clark of United Church of Christ, Neillsville, will officiate,
Burial will be in the Town of Mentor Cemetery, near Humbird.
Pallbearers will be Fred Rupnow, Brooks Carl, Donald Nelson, Don Zerbel, James
Trachael and Agnes Flood.
He was born November 27, 1909 in the Town of Mentor, to the late Mr. and Mrs.
Vincent (Mary Amchel) Mashin. He received his education in Columbia School and
married Bernice Turner March 24, 1938 in Neillsville. She died July 25, 1969.
He farmed in the Willard area for several years and also worked in the grain
fields in Montana during harvest time. Later he farmed in the Humbird area and
also operated a blacksmith shop there for several years. His last employment was
as janitor for Humbird School.
Survivors include a son, Gerald of Tomah; two brothers, Albert and George, both
of Neillsville; and two grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a sister, Ann.
