Kauffman, Donald (06 November 1897 - 07 November 1983)

COLBY - Donald Kauffman, 86, of the Colonial House of Colby died there Monday morning.

Services will be Thursday at the Rux Funeral Home, Colby. The Rev. Timothy A. Duesenberg of Trinity Lutheran Church, Unity, will officiate. Burial will be in the Abbotsford cemetery.

He was born November 6, 1897 in Graham, Iowa, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Wesley (Hattie Fosow) Kauffman. He received his education in Withee and married Mildred Forrest in 1941.

He was a meat cutter for many years and also worked a short time for the railroad.He retired from Strickered of Abbotsford in 1962.

Survivors include one brother, Lorris Kauffman of Milwaukee; and two sisters, Elsie Schmidt of Wisconsin Rapids and Alm Gurney of Merrillan.

He was predeceased by his wife and a brother.
