Beyer, Karen Sue (30 October 1982)

The Rev. Norman W. Lindloff officiated at the October 30 late afternoon wedding ceremonies for Karen Sue Beyer and Alan Lee Zschernitz at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Walter Beyer, 629 W. Sixth St., Neillsville and Mr. and Mrs. Louie Zschernitz, Rt. 1 Neillsville.

Karalee Lamon, a friend of the bride from Oregon, served as matron of honor. She was joined by Nancy Hagedorn, the bride’s sister of Sheboygan Falls. Terry Zschernitz, the groom’s brother, was bestman while Jay Ouimette, a friend, was an attendant; both are from Neillsville. Ushering were Gary Beyer, the bride’s brother-in-law of Bellingham, Washington, and John Perrine, the groom’s brother-in-law of Neillsville.

Paul and Beth Tess offered special music for the service.

The bride chose a long-sleeved, floor-length gown with scoop neckline and lace cape. A halo of yellow forget-me-nots and baby’s breath adorned her veil, and she carried a bouquet of spider mums, yellow button mums, baby’s breath and cascading English ivy. Her attendants wore ivory-trimmed gowns featuring stand-up collars and cuffs and deep V-fronts and backs; they carried colonial-styled bouquets of blue miniature carnations, yellow and white button Mums, blue stars, baby’s breath and ivory-colored streamers. They wore blue carnations and star flowers in their hair. The groom and his attendants were attired in gray vested tuxedos.

Following the service, a reception was held at the Neillsville American Legion Hall. The couple announced plan for a wedding trip to Southern Wisconsin.

Prenuptial events included showers hosted by Nancy Hagedorn, Louis Oldham and Jayne :Perrine and by Dorothy Bird, Shirley Meihack and Nancy Mohr.

The bride is a graduate of Neillsville High School and is employed by Norwood Health Center of Marshfield. The groom is a graduate of the same school and is employed by Christensen Dry Wall and Plaster of Neillsville. They will make their home at rural Neillsville.
