The Colby Volunteer Fire Department was called Thursday, February 3, 1977 to put
out a fire at Zion Lutheran Church, Colby.
Fire Chief Awe said there was a fire on the roof and ceiling of the new addition
that is in the process of being completed. A small fire started also on the old
part.
The church suffered a lot of smoke damage, Awe said.
Chief Awe said the cause of the fire has not been determined at this time.
