Rizner, Emil (31 March 1908 – 23 October 1982)

A native of the Neillsville area, Emil Rizner, 74, was pronounced dead on arrival at Neillsville Memorial Hospital on Saturday evening, October 23. Rizner made his home at Rt. 1 Neillsville.

The deceased was born on Merch 31, 1908, in Chicago to Michael and Rose (Kalas) Rizner. He moved with his parents to Clark County and received his education in the Shortville area. Upon completion of his schooling, he returned to Chicago where he worked as a printer for Masterpiece Studios for 49 years, serving as a foreman for many years. Upon retirement, he moved back to Neillsville. On May 16, 1969, he married Agnes M. Clinnin in Chicago ceremonies.

Surviving him, besides his wife, is a son, James, Bolingbrook, Illinois; two sisters, Albie Rizner and Bessie Meier, both of Neillsville; three brothers, William of Neillsville, George of West Allis and Frank of New Berlin; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Anton and Edward.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, October 27, from the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. The Rev. Gary Clark of the United Church of Christ officiated, with burial made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
