Strangfeld, Mr. and Mrs. Peter (Golden – 6 October 1982)

Mr. and Mrs. Peter Strangfeld, Rt. 3, Neillsville, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on October 3, with an open house and dinner at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church at Globe. The celebration was hosed by the Strangfeld’s children.

The former Pauline Tomlinson was born in Mt. Pulaski, Illinois. Peter Strangfeld was born in the Town of Washburn. The couple was married on October 6, 1932, in Neillsville by the late Rev. George Longenecker.

The Strangfelds have lived in Clark County for many years, farming in the Towns of Weston and Seif until retirement. They still make their home in the Town of Seif. They are members of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church of Globe.

The anniversary celebration was attended by both members of the original wedding party. Honor attendants were Violet (Tomlinson) Ross, sister of the bride; and William Strangfeld, brother of the groom. Also attending were friends and relatives from the Wisconsin cities of Milwaukee, Eau Claire, Kenosha, Altoona, Osseo, Sparta, Strum and Neillsville; from the Illinois communities of Marengo, Oak Lawn and Hampshire and from Minnesota cities of Carlton, Anoka and Minneapolis.
