Area dairymen were recognized for their outstanding herd production levels attained through sound management and continued use of Tri-State sires at the co-op’s annual meeting held recently in Loyal.

To qualify for the herd recognition award, a herd must have averaged at least 500 pounds of butterfat and be at least 75 percent Tri-State sired.

Award Winners included:

- Earl H. Boss, Perry Edblom, Larry Hass, Alvin Krueger, Vilas Thede, Ralph Will, David and Marcia Arnold, all of Colby.
- Gordon Abegglen and Fred Dins, both of Abbotsford.
- Harold Boyer, Merlin, Justman and Larry Meyer, all of Unity
- Gerard J. Staab, Dorchester.
