The Rev. Clem Dozer officiated at the Saturday, November 27, 1976 ceremony, as Eva Sue Aden and Bruce Elliott Oswald repeated their wedding vows at Salem United Methodist Church, Dorchester.

Gene McMahon, organist and Alan Aden, soloist, provided the wedding music. “The Lord’s Prayer” and “The Wedding song” were sung.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. W. Dale Aden, Route 2, Athens, and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Oswald, St. Paul, Minnesota.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was dressed in her mother’s wedding gown, which featured a lace bodice, long sleeves and skirt of slipper satin, ending in a chapel length train.

Her lace edged veil was held by a satin cap. She carried an arm bouquet of mums and roses.

Katie Roach, St. Paul, attended her friend as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. William Rosenkranz, Hastings, Nebraska, and Nell VanGemert, Milwaukee.

The attendants wore long, hooded dresses with the maid of honor dressed in rust, Mrs. Rosenkranz in brown and Mrs. Van Gemert in orange. They carried arm bouquets of fall mums.

Lon Van Gemert, Milwaukee, was the best man. Peter and Kevin Oswald, St. Paul, were the groomsmen. The men in the wedding party wore brown tuxedoes with light orange shirts.

Alan Aden, Athens and David Oswald, St. Paul, were the ushers.

Following the wedding a noon dinner and reception were held at the Dorchester Memorial Hall, with an opern house at the couple’s home in St. Paul at 8 p.m.

The bride graduated in 1972 from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, and is an accounting manager for Great American Insurance, St. Paul.

Her husband attended the University of Minnesota, served in Vietnam as a Staff Sergeant and is a conductor with the Milwaukee Railroad.

The couple will be at home at 150 Fairmont Ave., St. Paul.
