Gamel, Carol (5 October 1982)

The East Fork of the Black River near Hatfield provided the setting for the October 5 wedding of Michael Kissling and Carol Gamel. Chairs were placed on the flat rocks for guests. The river served as a background. Marigolds, delphiniums and wild flowers were place on and around a natural altar of stone. The ceremony was conducted by Rev. Laurie Pelnar, Black River Falls.

The bride has chosen to retain her maiden name.

Guests included the parents of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Gamel, Granton; Susan Stangl, Marshfield, sister of the bride, and her daughter, Carey Lea; Dennis Thomas, Black River Falls, and the bride’s two children, Frankie Johan and Rita Jane.

Following the ceremony, a family style supper was served at Castle Hill Supper Club, Merrillan.

Mike and Carol are 1969 graduates of Neillsville High School. Both are now solely involved in the running of their band, “Sequoia.” Mike is band leader and lead guitarist, and Carol is lead vocalist. Both will retain residence at the bride’s home in Granton.
