Potton, Howard M. (10 August 1910 – 3 October 1982)

Howard M. Potton, 72, a resident of Neillsville for the past four years, passed away on Sunday, October 3, in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.

The deceased was born on August 10, 1910, in rural Plainfield to George and Ruth Potton. On August 27, 1932, he married Martha Roberts in Belvedere, Illinois ceremonies. Prior to making Neillsville their home, they resided for 46 years in Avalon. He was employed as a machinist for Fairbanks-Morse in Beloit for a number of years.

Surviving him, besides his wife, are three sons, William of Westland, Missouri, Dale of Stevens Point and Larry of River Falls; a daughter, Mrs. Dan (Ruth) Clark, Neillsville; two sisters, Mrs. Vivian Weymonth of Plainfield and Mrs. Ruth Roderich of Atlanta, Georgia; and 13 grandchildren.
