Granton Class of 1942 (40 Year - 1982)

Granton High School’s Class of 1942 held a 40-year reunion on Sunday, September 26, with a banquet in Madison, Wisconsin.

Committee members planning the event were Mrs. Henry Hemersbach and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Korth. Basket bouquets and candles decorated the tables. Name tags were in the form of autumn leaves. Class pictures from various years in high school were displayed.

Walter Korth, master of ceremonies, opened the program by introducing Willard Schultz, the only teacher attending. A moment of silence was held for three deceased class members—Alvin Todd, Inez (Smith) Lichte and William Thiede.

Those attending were Mrs. Anna (Rosandich) Bartell, New Berlin; Mr./Mrs. Gerald Fox and Mr./Mrs. Leland Garbusch, Milwaukee; Roselyn (Messing) Har4rison, Sheboygan Falls; Mr./Mrs. Henry (Lydia Hillert) Hemersbach, Lake Mills; Mr./Mrs. Walter (Violet Foemmel) Korth, Cambridge; Mrs. Mabel (Marschner) Laskowski, Pittsville; Mr./Mrs. Harold (Vera Elmhorst) Lemke, Marshfield; Mr./Mrs. Charles (Lovella Ferguson) Polar, West Bend; Mrs. Geneva (Wilkens) Riedel, Beloit, Illinois; Mr./Mrs. Louis Rosandich, Wis. Rapids; Willard Schultz, Baraboo; Mr./Mrs. Sam (Elaine Helm) Seefeldt, Melrose; and Mr./Mrs. Loyal (Verna Elmhorst) Stover, Thornton, Colorado.

Members of the 1941 Class attending were Mr./Mrs. (Irene Brinkmeier) James, Apple River, Illinois; and Mr./Mrs. Marvin (Theresa Moeller) Mallory, Eagan, Illinois.

Another reunion was planned for 1987 with Anna Bartell in charge.
