Steffen, Vern & Agnes (Gold – 23 Nov 1976)

Vern and Agnes Steffen, Abbotsford, were married 50 years on November 23, 1976. The couple was married in Appleton in 1926. They moved to Abbotsford nearly 40 years ago.

They have three children, Richard V. Steffen, Elm Grove, William C. Steffen, Palatine, Illinois, and James W. Steffen, Brookfield, and seven grandchildren.

A wedding anniversary celebration was held for Mr. and Mrs. Steffen at Appleton in August of this year. An anniversary mass was held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in the afternoon.

The original attendants, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Rappert of Menasha, were present for the ceremony. Mrs. Rappert (Sara) is a sister of Mrs. Steffen. In the evening a dinner party for 75 friends and relatives took place at the Forester Club in Appleton.
