Lieders, Mr./Mrs. Orville (Gold - 12 Nov 1976)

Mr. and Mrs. Orville Lieders, Abbotsford, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary, Saturday, November 13, 1976, with a reception and buffet supper at the home of their son Orville, Jr., at Colby.

Lieders and the former Lillian Fahrenbach were married November 12, 1926, in Minneapolis. Attendants were Albert Malmrose and Reita (Lieders) Malmrose, St. Paul.

The Lieders have three children, Delores, Abbotsford; Mrs. Robert (Maureen) Schraufnagel, Parker, Arizona, and Orville, Jr., Colby. The couple also has six grandchildren.

Highlights of the day included a mock wedding given by the couple grandchildren. A cake was given to the couple from their only granddaughter, Cindy Lieders. Paul Lieders, youngest grandchild, was in charge of the guest book.

Special guests were Mary Fahrenbach, mother of Mrs. Lieders, and Reita Malmrose.

Mr. and Mrs. Lieders have lived their entire married life in the Curtiss and Abbotsford area. Lieders started in the gravel trucking business in 1928 in Abbotsford, and retired in 1970 when his son took over.

Mrs. Lieders enjoys gardening and knitting, and she helps out with the trucking business. They both enjoy traveling.

Attending the celebration were the couples’ three children and spouses; their six grandchildren, Cindy, Kevin, Brian, Craig, Brad and Paul Lieders, Colby; Mrs. Mary Fahrenbach, Colonial House of Colby; Mrs. Marge Wredman and Mrs. Bernice Fussner, both of Abbotsford; Mr. and Mrs. Eldred Schraufnagel, Sparta; Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Witt, Sr., Curtiss; Mrs. Reita Malmrose, St. Paul; Herb Fahrenbach, Curtiss; Bill Fahrenbach and Mary Krebsbach, both of Colby, and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Friedrich, Edgar.
