Last Tuesday ground was broken in Colby for a 12 unit apartment building for the elderly. The apartment should be ready for occupancy by the first of March. Attending the ceremonies were Councilmen, Jerry Vrana, Woodrow Tesmer, Lee Brunker, Len Olund, developer; Mayor Lloyd Scidmore, Council woman Betty Clifford; I. M. Firnstahl, member of the committee on aging, Councilman Kenneth Dix; Tom Merkel, General contractor, and Paul Hansen, developer.
