October 21, 1976 a daughter was born at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield to Sgt. and Mrs. Gary Lyon. Mrs. Lyon is presently living with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Gottschalk while her husband is stationed at Howard Air Force Base, Panama. They name their new daughter Jennifer Lea. She weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces, and was 20 and ½ inches long.

Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Carl Gottschalk, Unity, and Mr. and Mrs. William Lyon, Riplinger.

The infant daughter of Sgt. and Mrs. Gary Lyon was baptized Sunday, November 14, 1976 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Riplinger during the morning services. With the Rev. David Ault officiating. They named their daughter Jennifer Lea. Sponsors were Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Neitzel, Colby, James Schmutzler and Nancy Halverson, Riplinger.

A 2 p.m. dinner was held at the home of Jennifer’s grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Gottschalk.

Present were Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Halverson and family, Mr. and Mrs. James Schmutzler and family, and Mrs. William Lyon, the Rev. and Mrs. David Ault and family, Riplinger, and Mrs. Ronald Neitzel and children, Colby.
