The Rev. James Schaefer read the service which joined Carol Stoiber, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Stoiber, Route 1, Dorchester, and Steven Kadonsky, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Kadonsky, Route 1, Abbotsford.

Mrs. Ronald Decker was organist and the Morning Star Recording group provided guitar music and vocals during the 1:30 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, October 9, 1976.

The couple was escorted to the altar site by their parents.

A white chiffon princess style gown was worn by the bride. It featured long puffed sleeves and was trimmed with Alencon lace and pearls, with a chapel length train. Her elbow length veil was secured to a Juliet cap trimmed with lace and pearls. She carried a cascade bouquet of talisman and yellow roses with yellow carnations, star flower and baby’s breath, accented with satin streamers and rose buds.

Sister of the bride, Julene Stoiber, Route 1, Dorchester, was maid of honor. Mrs. Gloria Gangwisch, Montgomery, Alabama, and Pauline Stoiber, Route 1, Dorchester, both sisters of the bride, Margo Kaiser, Eau Claire, and Angela Kadonsky, Route 1, Abbotsford, sister of the bridegroom, were bridesmaids.

Gowns of Vogue Couturier design, made by the bride’s mother, were beige with small melon and white flocked flowers. Accenting the gowns square neckline were a pin tuck front and back bodice with elbow push-up sleeves. The lined flared skirts were complemented by a self-contrasting back belt and bow.

They carried wicker baskets of autumn colored straw flowers and cardone puffs and star flowers with bow and satin streamers.

To complete their ensembles they wore hair sprays of autumn colored mums, daisies and baby’s breath.

Bruce Pawlowicz, Eau Claire, was best man for the bridegroom. George Kadonsky, Jr., Madison, and Bill Kadonsky, Baltimore, both brothers of the bridegroom, Bob Gebel, Milwaukee, and Steve Stoiber, Route 1, Dorchester, brother of the bride, were groomsmen.

Seating the guests were ushers, Dan Gangwisch, Montgomery, Alabama, and Richard Gumz, Route 1, Dorchester.

After the church ceremony the newly married couple ascended in a hot air balloon.

A reception, dinner and dance were held at Memorial Hall, Dorchester.

The bride is a 1974 graduate of Colby High School. She completed a dietetic technician course at Mid-State Technical Institute, Wisconsin Rapids, and is employed as a dietetic technician at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Milwaukee.

The bridegroom graduated from Colby High School in 1973 and the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater in 1976. He works for Price-Waterhouse, an accounting firm in Milwaukee, and owns Kadon Sky Balloon service.

The newlyweds are making their home in Milwaukee.
