Bremser, Judith (9 Oct 1976)

At 1:30 p.m. Saturday, October 9, 1976, before the altar of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot, Judith Gera Lyn Bremser was married to Larry William Schmidt.

The Rev. Carl Brouchoud officiated at the rites for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Bremser, Mishicot, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Schmidt, Route 1, Colby.

Cynthia Bremser, Madison, was maid of honor for her sister. Kim Whitmore, St. Louis, Missouri, was best man.

Bridesmaids were Cathy Bremser Johnson, Madison, and Joyce Bremser, Menomonie, sisters of the bride; JoAnn Sumz, Appleton, Mrs. Dale Gorzlanzyk, Two Rivers, and Sgt. Dee Deal, Washington, D.C.

Flower girls were Carol Schmidt and Diane Schmidt, Colby, sisters of the groom, and Rachelle Adams, Marshfield.

Junior attendants were Laura Schmidt and Pat Bremser.

Groomsmen were Larry Loomis, Beloit, Bryan Sparbel, Mosinee, Paul Sorenson, Menomonie, Larry Fladvid, Madison, and Dave Manderfield, La Crosse.

Usherettes were Chery Bremser, Kincheloe Air Force Base, Michigan, and Linda Schmidt, Marshfield.

The newlyweds greeted guests during a reception at Frank and Rose’s Century Inn, Mishicot. They will reside at La Cross and will take their honeymoon trip during the summer.

The bride graduated in 1974 from Mishicot Community High School and served with the U.S. Marine Corps. She is studying recreation at the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse.

The groom graduated in 1971 from Colby High School, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in political Science and physical education in 1975 from UW-La Crosse. He is assistant director of youth and adult activities for the Wisconsin Union, Chippewa Falls.
