Hofmann, Paul E. (23 Feb 1898 – 11 Oct 1976)

Funeral services were held for Paul E. Hofmann, 78, Route 1, Dorchester, at Peace United Church of Christ at 1:30 p.m., with the Rev. Milton Petzold officiating. Burial was in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Kenneth Plockelman, Henry Kauer, Charles Lapp, Joe M. Weber, Hugo Hofmann and Ernest Hoffmann. The Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home was in charge.

Mr. Hofmann died at his home early Thursday morning.

He was born February 23, 1898 in the Town of Mayville. He received his education in rural schools in that area. He worked as a logger in the Westboro area, and later farmed in the Town of Mayville until 1961, when he retired, but still resided on the farm. He never married.

Survivors include five brothers: Herman Hofmann and Elmer Hoffmann, both of Dorchester, William Hofmann, St. Cloud, Minnesota, John Hofmann, Colby, and Fred Hofmann, Antigo; two sisters, Elsie Hofmann, Dorchester, and Mrs. Martha Schoof, Milwaukee.
