Greenwood H.S. Class of 1957 (25 Year - 1982)

The Greenwood High School Class of 1957 held their 25th class reunion on Saturday, August 7, at the American Legion Hall in Greenwood.

The evening began with a social hour at 7:00. After the dinner, Dick Bergemann acted as emcee. The special guests, Mr./Mrs. Clifton Fonstad and Mr./Mrs. Einar Jackson, were welcomed. Mr. Fonstad and Einar each gave some of their memories of our class.

The following prizes were awarded: first to reply, Gerald Maass; 25th reply, Donna Kirn; last to reply, Joanne Wickham; farthest distance, Carmen Neste; shortest distance, Janet Kreuser, and most grandchildren, Laverne Gregorich. Prizes were awarded for the right answers to the following questions: What was our class motto? “Step by step we will each our goal” (Joanne Wickham). What was the theme of our junior prom? “Paris by Starlight” (Yvonne Kirn). Who were the four people who signed our diploma? “Clifton Fonstad, Robert Stewart, Allen Wuethrich and Albert Neuenfeldt.” What was the name of our senior class play? “Papa was a Preacher” (Allen Fravert). Our three class cheerleaders? Frances Ternus, Joanne Wickham, Helen Rhode, who then led a cheer.

The program ended with a slide presentation made up by Dick Bergemann from 1957 Gleaners showing many of the class accomplishments for the year.
