Clark Fleege, Abbotsford, has been initiated into membership of the nation’s first student chapter of the American Water Resources Association, which has been established this fall at the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point.

Fleege is a junior at UW-SP majoring in forestry, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dalton Fleege, 523 West Butternut, Abbotsford. He was among approximately 50 students given the distinction of being charter members of the historic chapter.

Affiliation with the association will bring to Stevens Point students an additional benefit of contact with the thinking and philosophies of water resources people outside this campus, said Earl Spangenberg, a professor in the UW-SP College of Natural Resources, who is one of the co-advisors and was instrumental in the chapter’s formation.
