The wedding date is set for June 21, 1975 in Colby.

Timm, Connie (21 Jun 1975)

St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby, was the scene Saturday, June 21, 1975 for the wedding of Connie Timm, Wausau, and Dennis Geiger, Colby.

Father Rushman officiated at the 1:30 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Elsie Timm, Greely, Iowa, and the foster daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Slowinske, Wausau.

Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Geiger, Colby, are the parents of the bridegroom.

Given in marriage by her brother, Leslie Timm, the bride wore a white satin gown with a fingertip veil and carried a bouquet of red silk roses.

Mrs. Gary Blasel, sister of the bridegroom, as matron of honor, carried a bouquet of forget-me-nots and wore an aqua shade nylon crepe gown.

The bridesmaids, Mrs. Ronnie Engel, Mrs. Leslie Timm and Mrs. Jean Hanne, wore coral colored nylon crepe gowns. Spring flowers made up their bouquets.

The mother of the bride wore a light blue dress with a corsage of pink roses.

A light blue dress was chosen by the bridegroom’s mother, and she wor ea corsage of pink roses.

Gary Blasel was best man for the bridegroom, and Ronnie Engel, Leslie Timm and Wayn Radue were groomsmen.

They wore black and white tuxedos with pink carnation boutonnieres.

Completing the wedding party were Larry Schmidt and Robert Geiger.

A 4:30 p.m. supper was held in St. Mary’s gym, with a reception and dance at the Unity Memorial Hall.

Guests were from Hilbert, Clintonville, Medford, Loyal, Dorchester, Colby, Abbotsford, Unity, Greely, Iowa, Neillsville, Wausau, Marshfield and Junction City.

The bridegroom is a 1972 graduate of Colby High School and is employed on his father’s farm.

The bride attended D.C. Everest High School, Schofield.

Mr. and Mrs. Geiger are now living at Route 2, Colby.
