Jackelen, Theresa Marie (3 June 1960 – 18 November 2022)

We are sad to announce the passing of Theresa Marie Jackelen, 62 of Neillsville. Theresa passed on November 18th, 2022, peacefully at home with her significant other Frank Kleven by her side. Theresa fought a long, hard battle with cancer over the course of 12 years.

Theresa was born in St. Paul, MN with her 9 siblings. She was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Nancy, and brothers Joe and Pat. She was survived by Frank Kleven siblings Marge & (Rick) Hayek, Mary Johnson, Michael & (Annie) Miller, Donald Miller Jr., Kate & (Mark) Uner, Dennis & (Terri) Miller, Ken & (Jackie) Miller, sisters-in-law Donna Miller and Mary Miller, along with a whole lot of nieces and nephews. Theresa was the godparent of Jennifer Townsend.

She spent many years working in the restaurant and bar industry with Frank. They purchased the Speakeasy Saloon & Grill in 2010, building the business to its success today. Theresa's passions included: time with her dogs Coco and Rocky, hummingbirds, planting and arranging flowers, being outside, being with family and friends, and showing patrons how much she enjoyed their friendships through great food and good times. She just loved people. Theresa can be best described as having a heart of gold and willing to help anyone in need. She had an infectious smile and amazing personality with a bit of sass from time to time. Theresa was a warrior through her cancer battle. She was truly one of a kind.

There will be a visitation service at Gesche Funeral Home, 4 S Grand Ave, Neillsville, WI on December 3rd from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Celebration of Life to follow at The Speakeasy Saloon & Grill, W7652 US Highway 10, Neillsville, WI.
