Diane Marie Baumgartner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Baumgartner, Colby, became the bride of Steven Charles Stoltz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Stoltz, Butternut, at a 2 p.m. ceremony performed April 26, 1975 by the Father Francis Rushman in St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Colby. Providing the wedding music were Daniel Homp, organist, who accompanied soloists, Lenny Kempf, Barbara Kempf and Fay Hainzlsperger.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride appeared wearing a white sata-peau gown featuring ruffled cap sleeves and a ruffle flounce hemline. A panel of Chantilly lace and a pastel blue ribbon accented the front of the gown and encircled the waistline. A white picture hat with long veil and pastel blue bow and streamers completed her ensemble. She carried a Colonial bouquet of white roses, blue and apricot mums, baby’s breath and white streamers.

Mrs. Gary Krauter, Colby, assisted the bride as matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Mrs. Leonard Kempf, Eau Claire, Mrs. Dennis Engel, Dorchester, Miss Lindy Baumgartner, Cook, Minnesota, Miss Joanne Stoltz, Schofield, and Miss Marie Frane of Colby.

The bridal attendants were attired in blue halter dresses with short tie jackets of floral blue and apricot. They carried long stemmed apricot carnations with white bow and streamers.

Best man was David Homp, Sheboygan, and groomsmen were David Baumgartner, St. Paul, Jerry Webb, Milwaukee, Ed Skaar, Madison, Charles Weinberger, Milwaukee, and Dennis Baumgartner, Wausau. Escorting the guests to their seats were Gary Krauter, Colby and Pat Schackel, Milwaukee.

Wedding day events included reception at the Sword, dinner at St. Mary’s school in Colby, and a dance in the evening, also at the Sword.

The bride is a 1971 graduate of Colby High School and a 1974 graduate of the UW-Eau Claire. She is a business education teacher. Her husband is a 1969 graduate of Butternut High School and a 1973 graduate of UW-Eau Claire, and is an accountant at Woolworth Central Accounting office at Milwaukee.

After a honeymoon trip to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the couple will be making their home in Milwaukee.
