Granton High School Students (WJDA Honors - 1982)
Two Granton High School students took top honors at the Wisconsin Junior
Dairymen Association’s demonstration contest held at their state convention in
Rice Lake. They are Cheryl Garbisch and Geoff Thompson, who gave a demonstration
on the promotion of milk and milk products. They each received a grand champion
trophy and a decorated milk pail. They will now present their demonstration in
July to vocational agricultural instructors at their summer conference.
Granton High School also took top honors by winning the trophy for having the
best organized Junior Dairymen’s Association in the state and for carrying out
an organized program of work. The organizations advisor at Granton is Francis
Steiner, vocational agricultural instructor.
